For all those who are fans of Rockytop's quality irises, Phil has posted the pictures of the new 2014 introductions on his website.

I'm liking the one called Midnight Embers.

I Like that one too Tom. It has dark cranberry coloring instead of the dark purple I see in so many dark irises. Lovely!
Thro' all the tumult and the strife I hear the music ringing; It finds an echo in my soul— How can I keep from singing?

Did you notice that Phil has the lettering for "Midnight Embers" in black and all the others in white? Not only is it harder to read, but is distracting! Just my 2 cents. (it IS a slow time of the year

Nicodemis irises grow well here. I can't bring 'Delphinium Sky' closer to see if there is any turquoise.

I don't usually care for the real dark ones, but Midnight Embers is really nice!
