I have eaten the flowers and leaves in salads, the leaves have a mild peppery taste. Thumbs up

I've eaten the leaves, but haven't tried the flowers. If I can keep Jackson out of the flower bed, I'll give them a try this year!

Yes, I've eaten them ... sort of a peppery taste to me.
I garden for the pollinators.

Beautiful banner!

Nasturtiums are one of my favorites from way back. The flowers are nice in salads for a little peppery flavor but more for how pretty they look. When I was a child, would bite the tip off the spur and drink the nectar, of course now I leave that for the butterflies. Rolling my eyes.

I've eaten them. They never make it to the salad bowl --- I just eat them in the garden -- leaves & blooms both. Peppery but mild peppery.

Chelle, the old saying is treat nasturtiums nasty & that's why I call them nasties. The worse you treat them, the more they like it. You're killing them with kindness. They like it dry too. And Natalie has the right of it. Poke a hole, drop them in, cover them over & forget about them.
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown

Ooo, I love that nasturtium! I have a friend who is wild about them, and I will look for that one for her. I bought one in a hanging planter one year when I lived in the woods (I moved to the city), but the deer ate it! Grumbling

*Blush* Oh my goodness I just now checked in here and saw I had acquired 7 acorns coming from Marilyn, Natalie and KyWoods !!! What a surprise after my earlier comment on Margaret's Nasturtiums ! I was just joking around but thank you all so much. I had fewer then 10 so these undeserved acorns were really appreciated ! Thanks to all of you !!! Group hug

Nasturtium flower buds (maybe refered to as 'capers'?) are really good too; flowers and leaves put zest into a summer salad.
