What do you mean by the less water comment? Less water to cook or do you mean it takes less water to grow beans than to raise beef? Confused

It takes less water to raise a pound of beans than to grow a pound of beef.
Also less land is involved.

Oh yes, I figure that must be true. But beef must be the second most widely grown food animal, I am thinking chicken is the first. Now for those of us in suburbia with not so much room, it definately makes sense to grow veggies and beans. Only wish I could have afew chickens too. The cows I will just leave to my supermarket.
