Clematises have a way of enhancing many other plants so please post your photos of clem's and roses, shrubs, perennials, etc.

Blue Light with another hydrangea. I'll know the name in spring but winter drains my brain!

None of mine are mature enough yet to have grown up and around their companion plants. Have two Miss Batemans planted with roses and a decorative fence; one Malaya Garnet and one NOID each planted at the base of separate Rose of Sharon trees. A Filigree is interplanted with some Strawberry Fields Gomphrena (replanted each year). Don't have any photos of the combinations, only the individual Clematis flowers. Would love to see others' photographs. I have several Clematis in pots to plant, on order, or needing to be moved and would be interested in ideas.

I have several growing through roses and plan to continue planting them together, I still have many roses and clematis in pots. I plan to add some to a few existing shrubs too like my pineapple guava.

In alphabetical order, I have Arabella planted w/Jacob's Robe rose

Ashva planted with Autumn Sunset

Dawn planted w/Joseph's Coat

Multi Blue planted with rose Grace, no combo photo yet

Polish Spirit planted behind the orange Westerland rose, no combo photo yet

Ramona planted behind yellow Graham Thomas rose

Ristimagi planted on trellis with Carolina Jessamine next to rose Buff Beauty

My favorite combo, Romantika planted on trellis with golden Jasminum officinale 'Fiona Sunrise'. That golden vine is to the top of the trellis since this shot was taken so the two together should be great this year!

Rooguchi is planted with a favorite large climber, Aloha Hawaii rose, no combo photo

Hi Cathy,

I haven't had any of the short ones but many people do have them so if they're interested in growing some I hope they spot your generous offer.

Nice idea for a thread. I love the blue/orange color combinations. I usually grow Arabella (non vining short) with marigolds
