Common "easy" annual flowers produce lots of blooms and are very forgiving of soil, climate, and lack of experience.

The only scarce resource is time
I have a number of raised beds for growing plants on. One of them is going to annuals after seeing this.
Thanks Rick for another piece of simple greatness.
Have an acorn!

The wire is for cats, squirrels and birds.
My whole area is hard clay, and neighbors who grow things mostly do it in pots. So my beds are the only "sandboxes" provided for the cats.
Just because it ISN'T complicated doesn't mean I can't MAKE it complicated!

I too provide that same service for our own cat. It infuriates me.

Especially since I read about their "oocysts" lasting so long and potentially infecting humans.
