It was in a collection from Buggy Crazy planted 4 years ago.
I thought it was July Vanilla but have been wrong many times trying to ID the lilies from her.

It's very pretty Jo. Reminds me of the old Sterling Star (which it isn't). Which also reminds me there was a picture of it (July Vanilla) in the lily blooms thread from your last summer, I think?

Della, you must be thinking of this one, by Jo Ann, too. Hilarious!

GEEZER attack here. I remember someone telling me it was July Vanilla. I also have Sterling Star in another garden where it came up from the former owners flower beds.

Though the 2 pics that Lefty posted are different flowers ~ one has many more spots than the other, one has an icy-green throat
Where are we going, and why am I in this hand-basket?

Lisa put some of her one of a kind seedlings in these mixes and that is what I think this one is. I bought the mix too and didn't recognize any that came up as her named cultivars. They were very nice lilies though.

This one looks unique with its small spots surrounded by large spots. If it was one of her named ones I think someone would have recognized it by now.

Looks quite like Lilium Snow Star, a seedling from Sterling Star.

Peter, thanks for your input. As a matter of fact I mislabeled the Sterling Stars I have. Frankly I dont have the visual sensitivity to discern one white lily with a speckled throat from another.
On the other hand I am really keen on making sure my names are correct.
I tend to agree with Connie and you ,It is a seedling of one variety or another.
Lisa was extremely generous with her #25 bulb mix of asiatics. She sent close to 35 bulbs. I was transported with joy as I was trying to fill a large garden in a short time.

Hi Jo Ann, I am a novice in the lily stakes myself, and I agree many look very like each other, but I too think it is worth the effort to grow the best and label them correctly. After years of messing it all up, I am labelling everything I see.

The kids object , but it does make their names easier to remember.

I tip my hat to you. Peter
