It would work especially well for me, because as I procrastinated past each date, I could stack the dated envelopes inside each other ...

I have a spreadsheet with dates to plant, expected germination, special instructions. Your idea is much more visual and can have all of that information. I also include prior year results in the SS to avoid prior year mistakes. Things don't always germinate or grow where you garden compared with the envelope
