Does anyone grow BULGARI and have pictures to show of it in the garden? Below is the bloom from this past summer. We won this daylily a couple of years ago on the Lily Auction as BULGARI. After comparing it to the hybridizer's picture, I am wondering if we have the correct daylily. I know that growing conditions, soil, fertilizers, etc. affect the bloom color, but I don't know...The bloom size and height are about the same. I really like the bloom but want to have our daylilies labeled correctly. I searched for garden pictures online but did not find any. There are no pictures in the ATP database. Hopefully, someone here grows it and can shed some light. If not BULGARI, maybe someone recognizes it. (Petit, 2008)height 24in (61cm), bloom 6.5in (16.5cm), season M, Rebloom, Semi-Evergreen, Tetraploid, 20 buds, 3 branches, Lavender rose purple with lighter watermark and gold edge. Casshigh, yours look like the one on the AHS. His pictures are definitely touched up, while yours look normal to me.

Mike, you may be right. I had looked at the one in the AHS database, but now that I look at it again I can see some resemblance. I hope it is true to name because I really like it. Mike, thanks for responding.

Beautiful daylily, Doris. The only difference I see is that Bulgari has a gold edge. Does your edge turn yellow?

Yours looks more of a true purple, and the hybridizer's description and photo have it being more rose lavender. Whatever it is, yours is gorgeous!

Thanks, Debra and Alex. I will have to see what the blooms look like this year. The edge in the picture looks more white than gold. Whatever it is, I like it! If it still looks purple with a white edge, I think I will contact the seller and send a picture to see if the seller recognizes it. When I have a daylily that is not true to name or I am not sure, I turn the plant stand around backwards. After the first bloom if it is still questionable, I will turn the plant stand around backwards.

Doris..an added bonus is that your flower has some nice teeth Big Grin growing along that lovely wide edge. I feel it is Bulgari, but I would still send your picture to the hybridizer for confirmation.

Thanks, Alex. Teeth are an added bonus and I had not paid attention to that! Glad you noticed them and pointed them out.

Oh, Mike! That is gorgeous! I will be adding this one to our garden in a few years once the price comes down. Thanks. You are a wonderful enabler! Keep up the good work!

Oh my, what a flower Surrender Dorothy is, but I don't work with
dips. Hope they convert that one to a Tet.
