Ha!!
Yes, it is surprising what plants can take if they have had time to adapt themselves. Any idea how cold they got in the garage?
I was really surprised when I kept a thermometer out in the attached unheated garage, setting upright on the floor 6ft from the heated house. Nights have gotten down to 30 something below over the winter, but the minimum temperature on the thermometer was recorded at minus 1F.

I have a story, too.....
I had a lot of cull bulbs from my own crosses that I dug and saved to eat. I had brought them in from the garage when temps in the garage were 10F and below. This bucket I neglected to put back out, and it's been inside for a couple months!

Rick, you can trademark the name "Bucket O' Lilies"! Haha
You should see how long they will stay alive in there without any care as an experiment.

"Bucket O' Lilies" ........ Hmmmmmm....
This could be interesting! Stay tuned!

I've had what looks like an opaque, white plastic kitchen bag draped over the bucket in the corner since the start so they wouldn't get too dry. Obviously, that's let enough light in to allow for green up rather than blanching. I'm quite surprised how deliciously green they are, though. If I were to water them, I'm sure they would continue on. A bucket of blooming lilies could be interesting. I'll have to noodle this accidental project a bit more....
