Charlotte Thomas is my mother. We went to California in the summer of 2011 to visit the GoldCoast Daylily farm. Stan and Bonnie are wonderful people. We walked around the farm and Stan showed my kids the process of creating his daylilies. As my mom was walking around, they asked her which one was her favorite. She picked the perfect lily. I will cherish those memories the rest of my life as she has passed away and left us this reminder that life is short and we must cherish every day we have. It is now my time to watch over her garden. Her lily didn't bloom this past summer because she was in the hospital. We say it was waiting for her to come home. I am excited to see her lily bloom and will post a picture when it does.

When I went out for my morning walk through the yard I was so happy to see my mom's flower in bloom for the first time! Not only was it blooming but there was a praying mantis sitting on her name tag. One of her favorite bugs. The day she passed away we seen a praying mantis also. I will try to post a pic but not sure if it will work.
one happy daughter
