Doesn't look like it. I was just looking out the window and wondering where the snow to be shoveled off the driveway would go. The snow we are having now only supposed to end Friday morning. Then more snow forecast for Saturday. This is just unbelievable.
We don't usually get snow, but we got 4 inches over the past few days. The whole area was shut down. But with the snow came bluebirds. I don't usually get them as my one neighbor feeds mealworms and I don't. They came to my suet and PB log.
Oh my, Becky ... great photo's of those gorgeous Bluebirds!! Kudos for you to supply suet and peanut butter for the birds during the cold Georgia winter!!

I saw a whole bunch of Robins in the pecan grove this morning so spring is certainly on it's way.

I hope so Ann, I hope so. And I hope spring travels up this way. If the robins arrived right now they would all starve to death as there are piles of snow everywhere.

I got a few through the window shots of a Townsend's Solitaire the other day, they are uncommon, I see them only once or twice a year, I think it may have been at the suet, they are flycatchers, not too many flies around here this time of year.
Margaret: That Townsend's Solitaire sure is a beauty, reminds me a little bit of the Northern Mockingbird. Do you by chance have any Juniper's around your area? I read here that they eat both insects and berries, and apparently juniper berries are a favorite:

Lin, they do look a little like a young Mb, and we do have junipers in our area, I have a couple in my garden and next door there are several, it's good to know they like the berries and we have a supply for them.

Over the years our very large juniper hedge has drawn some strange visitors. One year we had a large flock of Cedar wax wings for part of a week. I'd read that when ice and snow are particularly bad in the pine forest of the north and Canada this is not unusual. This year brought an even stranger visitor. Our resident Pilateds come every day.
