After reading the post about being committed to growing your own food makes you a farm I will call this my spot. I live on a 1/2 acre of land in Lemon Grove, Ca. I like growing any plant you can eat. I am not an expert at anything, I just try until it works. I will eventually post pics of my little piece of the world, until then I hope you all have a great time of it.

Hi David. Welcome!

Keep an eye on our edibles forum, and I think you'd like our permaculture forum, too.

Amen! And if YOU don't try it, what if no one EVER tries it? The world would be a poorer place.

I see from the memberlist that there are 10 ATP members within 10 miles of you.

I happen to know that Risingcreek is an active trader of seeds including edibles, and gave a location 83 miles from your town.

I used to live a town over from lemon grove. Some friends of mine have a few acres off the 94. It's a great area to grow stuff, you can even do bananas year round! Good luck and looking forward to seeing how it progresses.
Here is a link to my friends place, lots of good stuff for your area and they will gladly answer questions for you, they're really nice people.
