I bought a plant a couple years ago that ended up being a NOID and not even remotely similar to what was ordered. I like it only for it's intensity and quantity of bloom. I'm not a big orange fan but this is just such an intense orange red with a reddish eye and bright yellow throat that I had to keep it. I have tried to set pods on it without success using both Tet. and Dip. pollen. None were set however I think that that may be more of a placement thing than infertility as none of my other daylilies in that area will set pods either and I know those varieties have been used for hybridizing by others. I was wondering about it being 'Alabama Jubilee' but really have no idea. I know it's impossible to give a positive identity but any suggestions on what it could be would greatly be appreciated.

Here are a couple of images of 'Alabama Jubilee' for comparison. I think the petals of yours are a bit narrower than AJ, don't you?

Mike I got the plant from Vesey's (not recommended and won't be getting any more from them) It was supposed to be Berrylicious. Got a replacement that ended up being a plain yellow. Bought another from a different vendor and it died within weeks because it was so small and had no roots.

Julie that was exactly my thought on it plus from the side the A.J. looks to be a flatter faced flower with less of a tubular throat.
