Gerry - I don't know a darn thing about the 2014 Lambertson intros. I just know some of his that I've bought in the past four-five years have croaked in my freeze and thaw climate. Lambertson's earliest intros were hybridized when he lived in New York - before the move to Florida. They seem to be hardier. Also, I met and talked with Lambertson about six years ago when gave a presentation to our local club. He told me at that time that Ada May Musick was his most northern hardy cultivar and was being grown successfully by several gardeners in Canada. I think if you plant your new acquisitions in a sheltered place, next to your house for example, they will be fine.

I know as many times as I have seen people speak of the Lily Auction there must be instructions here on it. For newbies to daylilies, can someone point to links about the auction and how it works (mostly for myself) but it sounded better asking for others. Hilarious!

Their requests when you sign up can seem burdensome but in my experience Mike Longo will try to remedy problems that arise so they do try to keep shucksters off of it.

Seedfork. Once you get there you have to sign up and produce whatever information that they require. Then they do some kind of background check on the info to protect buyer, seller and their own interest. Then they will inform you if everything is ok. If not they will let you know. I personally use Paypal in most cases. Some sellers will only take a personal check or Money order. It is VERY IMPORTANT to read the sellers info to make sure that you know what you are getting into. BE PATIENT!! Don't try to outbid everybody and over pay. That plant most likely will come up again. There is a feature on your "My Lily Page" where you can submit info for the plants that you are interested in. They will E-Mail you to let you know when they are listed. Use the search at the top of the page to find what you are looking for if it is listed at the current time. There is a drop-down box there, use it to your advantage. Most buyers try whenever possible to buy most of their plants from one or a few sellers to cut down on the shipping cost. I know that "Spunky" and maybe a couple others that only charge you one standard shipping price no matter how many you buy. There is also another search option after you sign in ( @ top right) that let you search for what a particular plant sold for recently. It has to be recent, it only go back so far. Hope this helps and welcome to the addiction.

Thanks Mike for all that info, I certainly won't be in any hurry to out bid anyone for any plant.
Heck, that was too easy. I am signed in already!
