One of the strangest ones I've seen...and I haven't seen many. At first I thought it was ceramic. Texture is most unusual and the little spikes inside the hole make it look dangerous. Is it shaped this way to attract a specific pollinator?
Yes, it's pollinated by flies and beetles in its native habitat. I understand both male and female flowers have to be present at the same time for successful pollination.
