@fixpix Calin is it just land or does it have a house on it?
If not will you build and live out there?

We will look forward to seeing your new space and all the plantings you will do.

Congratulations Hurray! Hurray!

Hey there twit. Love the information about the Betta fish. I also used to raise them. Watching fish in a tank is so soothing.
Love your Flame Honey Gourami'.

Can you see your semps yet? How much snow do you still have?

Nice info about Betta. Yup, I think I either overfed it (and it was just those dry, colorful thin flakes I bought in a package) OR I just didn't clean the water regularly. Too bad... but now all this conversation kinda makes me want a real fish tank. I remember the fun I had watching all those different fish.
I think my favorite were those Ramirez (Ram cichlid).

My garden... hmmm... no house ideas yet. Maybe just a really small hut? Something cute, small. Maybe to sleep in on some nice warm nights... not in winter BRRR! Smiling

LOL... thanks, but... I had second thoughts.
And I gave up.
Land was perfect, size, shape, location BUT it was a bit too far out of reach.
And... without a car, I'd have to take a but and do a bit of walking.
Plus there were rumours that thieves roam those hills. SO... I need to find a place closer to civilization. Will be a bit more expensive but at least I can sleep well at night.
So... I'm still looking!

BUT the good news is I cleaned my bowl!!!
The plant has such long roots and it's making babies :)

Interesting topic really enjoyed reading thru the posts. I have two terrariums both empty now. The one is a very large round glass jar I have had from the 70's the other a small long GH looking thing that I have never gotten around to planting. For me I think the problem is displaying them. They kind of get lost in all the big house plants I have or crowded among the smaller philo on a table. I have the bug to get one going again, I have been looking at them on Pinterest, plus the Flower Show I was at last week and the Fairy Garden Workshop our Garden Club had the week before.

Thank you... but now... I'm fraternizing (I think I used a Romanian word thinking it sounds great in English too... does it really exist such a word) with the idea of having a REAL fish tank Crying you guys are BAAAD!

Fraternizing is definitely a word, and congers up memories of Rowan Atkinson playing 'Black Adder' on TV here!

Sounds like you made a good call on the land, it's easy to get carried away and not look at the practicalities.
Your water garden looks fantastic now, a real make over Lovey dubby

I am setting up a Fish Aquarium right now. I have had one for years with African Cichlids but we lost all but one of them almost 2 years ago when we were traveling. The one that survived got just huge and was so aggressive that I couldn't put anything in the tank with him. He died this past Fall and I just let the tank sit empty till last week when I decided that I did want to get it back up and running. So I drained and cleaned it and changed the decorations out. Not entirely sure what I will put in it this time but I am looking for a change so it won't be Cichlids.
There is a huge Fish and Pet store about 45min drive from us so I will have a lot to chose from.

Holly can't wait to see what fish you choose! I always go for the feeder fish because even if I go in for a totally different type of fish, I see those tanks and immediately the "rescuer" in me comes out strong, and I buy up as many as possible, and take them home to my 55 gallon tank! Where of course they thrive and outgrow the tank Blinking and then I'm left with non fancy gold fish and what to do with them???? I've taken them twice to a local park with koi ponds and put them in...only to find out later that there was a heron waiting and someone told me that it swooped down onto my fish as soon as I walked away (I guess feeder fish karma is too strong for me to break!) Green Grin!
And I perceive it as a most wonderful paradox. What a great way to describe it Calin.
