Not a water garden but I thought you might like seeing the terrarium I just put together. There is a dark leafed peperonia, 2 small ferns and some moss gathered from the yard.

Holly that really turned out nice. I really like that dark leaved peperomia, the color is wonderful.

Ric actually picked up all the plants for me. I had been looking for some and he was going down to Md and I asked him to check out one of the nurseries down there and bring me back something if he found anything. He came back with a treasure trove. 4 different ferns two different peperomia some club moss and 3 mini AV's that I had especially asked for. Only plant that I won't use is some small sedum which would be fine but not with the other plants. So that will go in a succulent garden this summer.

He is a great husband, and a gardener as well, you will find him posting under the name Eric4home. So anything plant or garden related he is right on board for. That can be both a blessing and curse, neither of us says no. Hilarious!

Calin...speaking for myself...I think most people in the USA buy pickles now a days rather than make their own...I could be wrong and would love to taste home made pickles any time! Thumbs up Hilarious!

Over here, only really diligent and old-fashioned women - I was gonna say housewives, but it's not always the case - make their own.
Mom included :)
Pickles is easy, compared to jam or something we call "zacusca" (a mix of different veggies boiled for hours and hours, splashing all over, and so on)

Love your little terrarium Holly! Lovey dubby I can believe having two gardeners in the house can be a blessing and a curse. Do you find that you need twice the amount of gardening space too?

Calin, I would love to know more about your "zacusca". Can you take a photo of it?

Hahaha... it's delicious. Usually we spread a thick layer on bread.
I don't know of any other way to eat it.
No pic now, I usually eat a small jar in a couple days after mom gives me one.
:)

But you can google "zacusca"... it's got a whole bunch of veggies. Onions, peppers, tomatoes, eggplants and some recipies add mushrooms or beans.

About eggplants... you guys in the States grill whole veggie, and then when it's all soft inside, peel the skin off, and blend it/turn it to a mush, add mayo and sometimes onion and again spread it on bread? Also yummy.

You can tell I watched first episode of Masterchef last night Smiling
