Usha, I'm late to this thread and see you've already bought desert willows. I'm still going to recommend pomegranates. With this 'tree' you get bright shiny green leaves, beautiful red blooms .... aaaaand gorgeous deep burgundy delicious fruit! The structure is, well... unstructured and usually appear weepy. What's not to love about this tree? Not much; it's got it all!

I saw one that peaked my interest, because the seeds are soft, and you can eat them, and not have to worry about spitting them out. Also, has more juice per fruit than any other pomegranite. I'm tempted, just would have to find a place to plant it...lol! Take out one of my orange trees maybe? I have two.

I have Wonderful. I know there are other varieties out there and one of these days, I'll plant another one. Alan, it's hard to believe one is more juicy than Wonderful!

It is easy to eat the seeds. I like to sprinkle 'em on salads. One year, I squeezed juice and made champagne punch with it. Tasty!
