You're in the right place, amongst the kilo bulb planters😁 We love to see pictures of other gardeners blooms, it gives us ideas of bulbs we may want to order for next year, or not, depending on how they perform.

These early beauties are such a sight for sore eyes this year! Thanks for the thread, Annette!

Dirtdorphins, that 3rd photo is wonderful!

Annette, your Daffs have so many buds, looks like they're going to put on a smashing display! I have Ice King too, and some years notice they appear to revert back to Ice Follies. However I divided some a couple of years ago, and the doubling seemed to return afterwords.

Dianne, I love those yellow/orange bicolor Daffs, are they fragrant? Also curious what that is growing next to them, the foliage looks like Alstromeria to me.

Took this today, noticed I have Hyacinths starting to show, so it should not be long before I have blooms.

You're welcome Neal, and love I your Winter Aconite, I may have to try them next year, I've never grown them before.

Lovely daffs Seedfork, are they Mount Hood or Ice Follies?

I'm so glad I don't have to work tomorrow, I'll be able to spend time in the garden to see what else is blooming this week, I got home too late this evening to see if there were any new blooms.

I did notice yesterday that my Hyacinth City of Haarlem was starting to bloom also. We have cold weather coming back, so I believe everything is going to slow down again. The nice warm weather that we had last week really spurred some serious bulb growth, hopefully the tender blooms won't suffer from any frost damage.

Neal - I have always wanted to try aconites too. Maybe next year.

Those yellow/orange jonquils do have a fragrance - a little like the paperwhites, but not quite as strong. Which is good since I don't like that smell. And yes, those are alstromerias next to them. They send up vegetative shoots over the winter. I pull those out, and then the blooming stalks come up in March. That particular variety is pretty aggressive and I have to thin them out yearly to keep the patch in check.

Dianne, I know what you mean about the "fragrance" of paperwhites- at first it seems nice, then it kinda starts putting me in mind of cat pee, LOL. Odd thing about Winter Aconites, when I've ordered them, they didn't do very much, but these that I've been moving around the garden came from a friend as a tag along with another plant he had given me. Those in the pic above are in the lawn, where I thought I had moved all of them out last year. Obviously I missed a few! And I do see seedlings all around them too. I see 2 species offered commonly, so I think I've had both, I just don't know which is which.

Nothing beats spring-blooming bulbs!
Well, I cheated a bit.... planted some crocus bulbs in a pot and kept it on balcony.

Well, I can't really call it forcing. Yes, they are in a pot, but they are placed on the balcony, windows were open all winter.
I just let them do their thing :)
Last fall I was thinking I could use some color among all those pots with seeds waiting to germinate...
I also have a pot with 5-6 hyacinths ready to bloom.
Problem is, someone told me these Crocus bulbs don't do well in pots. They bloom nicely the first year, and then they are gone. Wondering if it's a rule or that someone didn't know how to care for them.
