Very striking. I get a mullein from my sister every spring, much to her dismay. In her climate they grow as field weeds and she is always encouraging me to get one of the prettier cultivated varieties. But, I like the large fuzzy leaves and strapping seed stalk of the common mullein, which fits in well with my other rather robust herbs. It doesn't reseed for me so each spring we go out into her pasture searching for a nice sized weed for me to bring home.
I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who loves them! That picture brings out the soft fuzziness so well.

Thank you for the nice comments! I love them, too. They add a different leaf texture and vertical accent which is needed in the beds with the daylilies. The original plant was one dug from the roadside years ago, now I just break off the seed heads and spread them around. The tallest one we've had in the garden is 13' 4"! Most end up 8 -11 feet tall by the end of the summer.

Goes well with the season given the **Frosty** look of the plant part in the banner. Thanks for this one!

Love this banner with the gorgeous texture! Nice job! Hurray! Hurray! Unfortunately they are very weedy around here too, so I don't want them in my gardens. But there are plenty around to enjoy.
