This year I'm taking the plunge, and going all out with edibles. While I'm well familiar with great sources for anything that blooms, the best sources for culinary plants is outside my field of knowledge, so I'm looking to you expert food growers for guidance.

I want to get Asparagus and Rhubarb started this year, as well as a Strawberry patch. Also looking for some Raspberry plants. What sources would you recommend as your favorites?

Your best bet would be a local nursery that has plants proven for your area. With that said, I have had good luck with Stark Brothers and Gurney's. Web addresses:

I would highly recommend Simmons Plant Farm; they are located in Arkansas. The prices are way-way better on most things. I have ordered from them for years- both for my farm (I have a pick your own berry farm) and the garden center I work for. Quality is always top-notch. Thanks for the suggestions! The selection locally isn't great, mostly just national chain box stores that don't necessarily carry product that grows well here. I've been checking out customer reviews of the above mentioned nurseries, Simmons and Raintree have a lot of good feedback, Stark brothers has mixed reviews, but Gurney's had more negatives than positives. However, many of those leaving feedback said they had been very pleased with Gurney's in years past- makes me think they've been bought out by one of the bigger companies (it said they're affiliated with Gardens Alive).
