This is a nice photo but not a milk thistle flower. It has the wrong type of spines
Do you have any photos of the rest of the plant , maybe I can help tell what type it truly is?

Cinda, I tried to find other pictures of the plant, but I couldn't find them . It just came up in my garden and although I liked the flowers, it was too pricky for me and it popped up everywhere in my garden. I think it must be a native here. Do you think it's a Silybum specie or another one? Let me know, and than I will try to find out what is native here.
One of the people in my village told me it was Silybum marianum Confused

I agree with Lori it looks to be a Cirsium but can not tell without additional info.
We do have a place for just Cirsium if it can not be narrowed down Smiling

I checked which Cirsium's are native here. Keeping that as a guide, it's almost for sure Cirsium vulgare.

Hi, Jonna,
Please click on that photo, then scroll down to the bottom of the page. Please click on "Move photo to another plant" and type in Cirsium vulgare, which will bring up the species name and probably some similar ones. Select the correct species name, and then a moderator will move it to the correct species entry.
