Hi Semps-Fans all around;

who ever starts collecting cultivars of Sempervivum or Jovibarba notices that there are a lot of very nice ones from the belgian breeder André Smits;

André isn't online - no email, no internet; so it's heard to get direct contact;

but some of our users on sempervivum-liste.de has been there for a visit; a good semps-girlfriend has made a report about her visit and presents some lovely photos;

Wow, how incredible! I guess if you have that many semps it sure helps to be organized and keep records like he does. It would be so wonderful to be able to see his collections in person.... Thanks for sharing this Peter!

yes - Horst Diehm (german breeder) and Beatrix Bodmeier (most of my photos here are from her) will visit André in late spring to take photos of his cultivars;

I have the permission to share all photos of Beatrix with you

let's hope she will bring a lot of it from the visit;

but she will mostly make photos of single cultivars - not from the garden; our ambition is to get photos from cultivars we haven't any photo on our homepage yet;

That is exactly what I want to see, photos of individual plants.
I am getting so excited. She is such a great photographer. If I could afford the trip I would beg and plead to come along.

he said it's the real Semps-heaven

André has about 2.500 Semps-cultivars, 2.700 Jovi-cultivars and round about 1.000 natural forms (with a lot of regional pick-ups);
