Welcome to the lily forum, Billie. I always liked Menorca--it's one of my all time favorites.

I was going to say there's another melon/orange lily on the market called Saltarello that is very similar to Menorca, but it has better heat resistance and holds it's color very well. Have you ordered any new lilies for spring planting?

Good call Lorn. Saltarello is one of my favorites and has huge blooms!

Here she is!

This one is an OT. The other one looks like an LA to me.

I didn't order Asian lilies this year. I love them, though! I have one called Oriana that has a wonderful fragrance...it's a really light melon and is beautiful!

I see from your other posts that you grow lilies nicely in a well arranged mixed garden setting. Many of those who've commented there are also participants on the forum. You're in good company! Love your dahlias, by the way!

Tennessee is a beautiful state. The closest I've been to your place is Johnson City.

Johnson City is the very next town....my family and I go there a lot to shop and dine.

The lilies in the background in the photo of me sitting in the front garden are a mix of Asian lilies and daylilies.

There are lots of other bulbs there, too! Some of them are shown in the photo, while others have already come and gone and, still others, haven't come into their blooming season, yet.

Because that front garden gets more sun than the back yard -it was perfect for bulb plants.

I am currently picking out other photos of the plants I grow from old boxes of CD's where I recorded the pictures.

Maybe, some of the photos I have taken will be useful to many of the forums here.

One can never take enough pictures--everybody enjoys seeing them. There is a real nice 'lilium' data base here too, where photos can be submitted for entry. I joined this forum a little over two years ago and enjoyed every day of it since. There is a group of 'regulars' here that collectively represent a vast amount of useful lily growing knowledge. I've learned a lot from them over the past two years and enjoyed seeing their photos and their sharing of ideas as well. I'm sure that you will find this site as helpful as I have.
