I had a scarecrow several years ago and my neighbour asked that I remove it because it scared her dogs and family when they looked out one of their windows. At first I thought she was joking. I told her to get rid of her used toilet planter and the we would talk Rolling on the floor laughing
She moved a few years ago

Above, on my post of 2/22 I used the wrong photo and didn't preview. Sorry! Here's her head in the snow.

She will probably don her new designer clothes in April. No fashion previews!

Joanne, not what I want in our yard, but a toilet's definitely a 'flower pot!'

What about growing peppers in a pickle jar "my pickled peppers?"

Red-hot pokers (or stuff with 'flame' in the name?) growing out of an old grill?

I have two signs that I copied from Pinterest:
"Wit's End" with a hand pointing to the back gate
"Path of Least Resistance" with hand pointing to the secret garden

If you can find some old springs, insulators and lots of left over spray paint, you can have a "spring garden." This one's in the
grandson's secret garden down behind the pond and not visible from the rest of the garden. After the drought we had last summer, it may be the only bed with flowers this spring.

Thanks Woofie!

Right next to the spring garden is the door to No Where. Our garden was on a garden tour and DH loved watching grown people bend down and try to open the door that was painted on the fence.
Sadly at eight, grandson now has Mindcraft, piano, golf, and soccer to keep him busy. I think last year was the end of make believe...for him. 'Not for me, though.

This is a little off the topic, but I am intrigued with a Japanese themed garden. Since I have the whole cottage garden thing going on, I have a little secret spot near my swing with my Japanese Garden. Every year I plant it up with different things. Here's 2013 scene

That is charming, Joanne!

Sigh, I'm still trying to figure out a place in the garden where I can safely set up my large scale train set. Maybe this year; I'll have a new bed next to the house and I'm planning on having an outdoor electric outlet installed on that wall. Smiling

My brother-in-law had a little set-up in his back yard in OK and it was soooooo cute! It's supposed to be weather resistant, so I'm hoping I can put the track in permanently and just disconnect the power in the winter.

We took out a little wet bar sink a few years ago. I decided to put it on a stand and fill it with plants. I took it to one of the flower shows and tagged it "Everything In the Kitchen Sink." I found the sink out back yesterday, and think I'll fill it again this year. (I should be trimming all the dead stuff in my yard first).
