I haven't grown succulents for a long time. I bought an aloe vera plant last year that I'll split soon into two pots. But it just occurred to me a moment ago that I might as well buy Medusa some succulent neighbors. Back in the day when I used to have several cacti growing because my cat wouldn't bother them, I really enjoyed how easy they were to take care of and I didn't even have any idea the names of any of the plants.

After the husband killed off my indoor plants, I kind of stayed away from indoor plants for a long time. But visiting this forum, I can see that looking at these photos is making me want to start growing more succulents than just my little Medusa.

Now I'll just have to visit more secondhand stores to find some interesting pots. Not sure if I have the creativity to make some that I wouldn't have to hide in shame.

Cheshire, when my creativity goes bonkers and an ugly planting results, I don't hesitate to take it apart and start all over again. This experimentation part is very much part of the creative process. There's no shame in it. I consider it practice. My secret: I don't photograph my questionables...that way there's no evidence online... Hilarious!
PS Welcome! to the forum!

Lynn, can we see your pot from Chris?? : Drooling

Here is my blue pot with Cacti in it! The cacti are going to grow very fast so for most of them its a tempo place...I'll be moving them as needed and may end up only have one type of cactus in here

Oh, I post good and bad photos..of course nice to hide evidence of mishaps Big Grin but it will help newbies understand why certain combinations won't work or certain container depths not advisable.

I just love it.
I dug out my living wreath today. It overwinters in a pretty deep bed of leaves so I have to dig it out each year and see how it has survived. Looking pretty good this year.
