About three months ago, I began an odyssey that took me to places that, in my life long journey as a gardener, I never would have imagined. It all began with a daylily seedling.
A great article on the basics of daylilies.
Also a great article on how plant addictions start. We have been there with irises.
With irises, climate and soil can make a huge difference with form and color. I would not be surprised to find that the same is true for daylilies.
Thanks for the compliment, coboro! You're absolutely right about climate and soil making a difference with daylilies as well. One of the strangest things happening to some of my beautifully colored irises is that they start blooming white. Go figure.
