orchidbob, it looks like a type of upright sedum (hylotelephium) but I am not familiar with the flower type. I would repost onto the Sedum forum if I were you!
Cheers I tip my hat to you.

I knew it was not a crassula and that it was not a Senecio.
The flower is wrong. Not like anything else I have.
All my Senecios are white and this flower is orange.

My avitar is Pleiospilos nelii "Rubra" also known as split ball
Some people think it is a Lipthops but it is not flat top.

I have another plant that I call sprawling jade.
It makes a great ground cover.
Does this look familiar to any of you?

I wacked off the top of my Adansonia rubrostipa (baobab tree) because it was taller then I wanted it to be.
I cut it off about an inch above a node where I wanted the new top to grow.
If I keep it pruned back it should thicken up nicely.
Here is a pic.

I have two Tri-color Beach in my front yard. They normally grow to 60 ft. Mine are 10 ft. tall and been that way for over 10 years by pruning top growth off. Every year I trim 2 ft. off the top. My friend's tree purchased the same time is at the 60 ft. level. Way taller than his house planted next to. You would never guess they were purchased the same time.

Glad to know everyone's succulents and plants are still looking good. I go dormant on winter too, but before the year ends, I just want to show my collection still doing well.

Hi garciasucculent, Welcome!

I just wanted to let you know that there's a Cactus and Succulent chat for 2018 here (I realize the topic doesn't say 2018 in the title):

The thread "Cactus and succulents chat" in Cactus and Succulents forum

I tip my hat to you.

I think that's probably one of the reasons Stefan suggested making shorter threads, so they are more easily navigable for new people.

The new chat thread is not specific to 2018, it is intended to be an ongoing chat thread. Perfectly navigable to all. The management prefers that we not put dates in the titles of chat threads.

Welcome, Garcia.

Welcome!

It is specific to 2018. The very first post says this:

Jai, we've talked about this before, and I've said it before. The thread is not specific to any year. The title is not specific to any year. The management does not like chat threads to be dated with years. Is that clear now?
Smiling

I edited that first post so there should now be no confusion.

Is it ok to pinch back soft succulents if they are leggy? In this case specifically Sedum rubrotinctum "Jelly Bean". Will it help them fill in? I have moved it to a new location for more light.
