Wow, those are some really great photo's dirtdorphins!! I kept saying "oh, that's my favorite" and then I'd move to the next pic and the next ... and they just kept getting better and better, whether a bee covered in pollen, heading toward a bloom, peeking out of a bloom or hovering over a bloom ... they are wonderful!

Beautiful pics! My Mexican Plum tree is blooming and giving the bees plenty of nectar these days.

Some are also going to the Carolina Jessamine in the back yard.

I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. E. B.White

I feel bad, because my plum tree is starting to come to an end on blooms, which will leave mostly rosemary and Carolina Jessamine (also declining on blooms now) in the yard. But a few timid blooms are starting to appear on the property. It's really droughty however. The bluebonnets are trying to rev up to bloom, but this afternoon it's sort of hot and with no real significant rain recently, they look pathetic!

(btw--I found out the worker bees are all girls. Apparently the boys, drones, are only good for one thing.)
