Doing a search for 7' blooms, rust resistant, 1.0 ranking .
I pull up 4.75, 3.75 and other sizes along with some 7" ones.
Doing the same search but for 8" blooms brings up "Spacecoast Tiny Perfection" with a 2.87 inch bloom.

If you include more than one factor in your search, you will get results that include ANY of the search criteria, not ALL of them.

Say What??? Confused
Do a search for 6" blooms, rust resistant, 1.0 ranking see what shows up, Do the same for 7 and 8 in. blooms and see what shows.

That's what I ran into when I was searching the roses database, if I put in multiple search criteria. I wonder if you're getting those results because the number shows up in any position in the size. I see your search for 7" blooms brought up 4.75 and 3.75.

Actually it should be the opposite. It matches ALL of the factors, not any.

Hmmm, did you change something lately, Dave? As I mentioned, that's what I seemed to be finding doing searches in the Roses database, but that's been a while back.

I haven't changed how the "Search by characteristics" feature works for a very long time.

Ok, may just be corrupt data! Just wanted to make sure I was not the one confused...as is usually the case. Rolling my eyes.

That happened because someone mistakenly listed Dahlia-flowered zinnia as a synonym instead of as a common name. I've removed the synonym. Thanks for finding the error. Smiling

zuzu,
Dahlia-flowered zinnia? I like them planted with daylilies, but they don't seem to mix to well in the data base? Shrug!
