That disease was in the vegetative petunias which are done by cuttings.
I think it is not in the seed based petunias?
It was a tobacco mosaic disease? I wonder if smokers brought it to their greenhouse?

I wonder if that disease will attack Calibroacha?
I usually get vegetative Calibroacha because I can never get seeds for it.

I think that virus can attack many plants in the Solanaceae Family of plants. So, yes to calibrachoa. Different varieties of different genus certainly have different resistance.

I'm going to miss the Red Fox Dummen selection of petunias in my garden. I usually have many different varieties and many wholesale growers use them in hanging baskets & combo planters.

Well...I may seed an extra pack or two. I have some of the species petunias, but generally consider them to be so inexpensive and easy to get that I don't grow many of the regular kinds.
