I trying this out this year. Dates back to Bible times. Grows wild in Jordan and Lebanon. Zone 6. Tastes like thyme, marjoram and oregano combined.

Interesting, Anderwood. I like trying new oreganos and I don't have Wild Zaatar (Origanum syriacum).

It has an amazing flavor.

Did you start it from seed or plant? I can't even say how many things I've tried and failed the first time; but, I don't give up and often I will succeed the next time. Sometimes it's just a matter of putting it in shade, or giving it more sun, less sun, less water, things like that make the difference.

I started it from seed. I had a lot of other things going, and it got neglected a bit.

Stumbled upon this at Hazzard's seeds, got intrigued... found it for a better price at Territorial (I often order from both places anyway). Just FYI!
