Hello everyone,

I sent this message to Dave last night, and he asked me to post it here for everyone to see; that way you all know what's going on when he adds the new box. Smiling

"I was adding some additional details to some plants yesterday, and I noticed that under the Uses or Flower section there was no check box for edible flowers. Could we maybe get one please? Or should we use the "Other" box under flowers? I know a lot of people don't realize just how many flowers are edible, like squash blossoms. I was actually editing a Zucchini when I noticed. "

Now I'm off to update my favorite edible flower plants. Smiling

A good winter project for everyone. Think of your favorite edible flowers and add this information to the entries. My special weakness is for Pineapple Guava blooms.

@zuzu, how do you use those guava flowers ? Confused
At our ranchiito we do NOT keep bees.
They and other critters grace us with their presence, and we provide for their need to the best of our abilities.

The guava blossom petals are sweet and almost melt in your mouth. You can just eat them plain, or use for plate decorations. I've never tried to candy them. Wonder if that would work?

I don't use them in anything, Lavanda. I just eat them off the tree.
