Plums:
Santa Rosa - After 5 years I've gotten two plums off the tree. At my previous house, after 8 years, I got a big goose egg. Zero.
Maybe this is the year. Tree is loaded with flowers, bees are busy doing there thing.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I finally get some fruit to brag about.
Will report back in a couple months on the progress, if any.

Weeping Santa Rosa Plum - After two years of poor performance I yanked it out of the ground and is now mulch. It looks like some folks in Phoenix have had better luck with their's.
Reports from the Phoenix people?

Pluot:
Dapple Dandy - This tree hasnt put on much growth. I've gotten several pluots from it and those that I have eaten were out of this world. Much better than plums in my opinion.

I'm with you...I like plums, but pluots are the best!

Got some new additions to the yard.
Spice Zee Nectaplum. This one reminds me a little of the purple leaf plum. Leaves are shaped more like a nectarine/peach.
The new leaves are a purple that turn to deep dark green.

Flavor King Pluot.
Flavor Grenade Pluot
Flavor Delight Aprium
Emorld Drop Pluot

Its either a regular homestead orchard or wood for my smoker. ;-)

Speaking of smoking wood. Maybe we need to start a thread on what type of wood we have used for smoking and what were the results?

Let me think on that a little. I'd like something devoted to outdoor cooking and that would be a nice fit.

Flavor Delight Aprium - I ate the only one I had on the tree last night and I wish that I had planted this tree sooner instead of the apricots.
I really do like my apricots but this aprium's taiste was better than the apricots.
