I took these photo's last August at Balboa Park Gardens in San Diego, all inside the greenhouse. I thought possibly Red Ginger (Alpinia purpurata) but I'm not really sure. Hope someone can help with an identification.

Well, after googling and googling I think the one in the center picture might be Pineapple Ginger (Tapeinochilos ananassae) and the others are probably the common Red Ginger (Alpinia).

After even more googling and research I've found the plants in question are Costus comosus (Spiral Ginger)!!! Those succulent leaves belong to another plant! Smiling
