OMG yeppers, somewhere near the Ariz/Cali border, we seen 'im! Too true about the summer heat arriving on time, never fails. July 1, Mister Heat Mizer turns the thermostat up to 100 and no looking back till October ...

52 and sunny here in AR. I went out to take pictures of some daffodils, the wind started blowing, and after a few shots realized that my memory card wasn't in the camera. Duh! Guess I left the memory card for my head inside, too
Any day you wake up on the sunny side of the grass is a good day.

Rita…Cover all those little Crocus seedlings. I just checked Wunderground, and Long Island appears to be in the target zone for late Winter Storm on Wednesday. Hope it misses you. That storm is staying well south of Vermont…thank goodness. By the end of this week, rain will 'finally' arrive here…a sure sign of Spring…washing away all these 6 ft. piles of snow.
Had a wonderful dinner on Saturday night with my absentee neighbors who I share a veggie garden with during the summer. Yummy meal, and great camaraderie right down to there 3 dogs and my little nipper…. a doggone good time! OUCH!
Chilly this morning -- 36, supposed to be 59. When it gets warmer, I'll go out to take more pictures. The memory card is in the camera, but I'm not so sure about the one in my head!
@Rita, sorry you are still having winter storms there. I know you are anxious to see your little crocus. Your banner today makes me remember to go out and take some pictures of my pink daffodils.

Headed for mid-60s today. Boy-child is with his mother until tonight, so I can wander the front yard in peace and quiet. Got too enthusiastic yesterday in digging a fresh bed spot and putting random Iris and Daylilies in it. Pulled things I didn't know were there to BE pulled, so I'll be moving slowly. But any day you can spend outside is a good day, right?
Debra, so sorry you overdid it yesterday. Take it slow today.
Yes, we are expecting a snow storm here on Long Island Tuesday evening into Wednesday. I can't cover my thousands of crocus! Will just have to hope for the best.
Rita, your crocus will be fine. Mine in Utah always had snow on them several times, and they did just fine. Even with below freezing temps, they did just fine. I wouldn't worry about them for even a second. They are tough little guys!
It's supposed to get to 62 here today, but I don't see that happening. It's really cold and cloudy, and the wind has started blowing. Tomorrow is supposed to get up to 64, but I'll be surprised if it makes it! It's supposed to rain tomorrow, so I'm hoping for some warm air today, but not holding my breath.
Thanks Natalie, I usually don't get snow on them but this is the first year that I had planted lots of Species types. And those bloom much earlier than the large flowered ones. Though a few of those have popped thru also. But I have many crocus that are just showing thru the ground now even while others are blooming.
