Sorry that this is only partially related to plants, but I've just spent waaaay too much time on this and I'm starting to lose it. :P
What is the best free photo editing program for marking copyright information on plant photos?
Which program is your favorite?

I’ve researched the free options and it appears many are plagued by bloatware or malware. The ones I have tried are either completely counterintuitive or make a simple task much more time consuming than it should be.

Any help would save my sanity and be very appreciated!
Thanks,
J.C.

I love the gimp. http://www.gimp.org/

It's extremely powerful yet fairly easy to use, and has a lot of documentation on their website with tutorials on how to do stuff. You just follow the directions and off you go. Best of all, it's free and open source, safe from malware.

Thanks a TON for the help. I truly appreciate it!
I only wish I had asked sooner, instead of wasting hours running into dead ends. Sticking tongue out

Thanks again,

Dave beat me to it...but GIMP is the way to go. No two ways about it. As functional as photoshop IMO and 100% cheaper.

It is exactly what I've been looking for.

I've been playing with it for a while. It's very cool, powerful, and easy to understand.
Thanks guys! Hurray!
