I really like this container! Of course, I'm a sucker for blue pots anyway, but this is a rather different combination! Love the blue flowers in with the Juniper. Thumbs up

Glad you liked my container planting, Woofie. This pot was more an experiment of combining textures and colors of the foliage. I had no idea the blue flowers were the bloom color for the Lithodora! I was just wanting to continue the lines of the Juniper cascading sideways and so planted in the Lith because of the creeping deep green of the Lith to contrast with the medium green of the juniper. Of course the tiny delicate leaves of the Thyme was to offset the rough branches of the Juniper.

Ah. Textures aren't quite so readily apparent in photos, but they are definitely part of the whole effect. I remember seeing a sculpture at a local art show many years ago and all it was was a large, whitish rock. But the rock had been polished smooth in some areas and roughened in others. I was quite taken with it (I do love rocks!). It did seem quite odd, tho, that the artist didn't want anyone to touch it.

Guess we will just have to be satisfied with sharing ideas on ATP. It is still a great way to gather ideas.

Thanks for sharing .. Hope I can do some a bit later. I am hoping to get some varied container plants from the Timberline & Tagawa Nurseries before I leave for OR. Will leave them in a sheltered place while gone.

Marilyn, I am so jealous you have Tagawa's nearby. We don't have nurseries like that: green-one-stop-shops. Enjoy your outing out there.
Never heard of Timberline. Will look it up...

Here's a slapped together raised bed that my Hubby put together to have me plant some stuff for him to look at every time he has to go in and out of the studio to work for the house bacon. This is my project to plant before going out to OR...I rather do a container... Glare

Ohhhhhh That is so neat!!!!! I love it. Can't wait to see how you fill it up with containers or whatever..

It will be a visual banquet for him as he goes back and forth. And another creative challenge for you

Nice slapping!!!! Hilarious!

Awww ...thanks, Marilyn! This pot was another state, another home, another mind-set. I probably could make this arrangement again but large pots are too big on the balcony at this new abode. I have seen all the plants available for this but maybe it could be done in miniature in smaller blue pot...? Whistling
