Loved all the pics! The one you have titled "pond lily" actually has a Lotus too! The flowerless thing sticking up is from the lotus Smiling

Thanks all.
Lotus? That's cool.
Really interesting little city, Tulsa.
Homes and gardens are gorgeous.

Not bad for a big town. I went to the most amazing woman's clothing store, Miss Jackson's at Utica Square. The very best of everything - no cables or wires or theft detectors on anything. A Presumed Innocent Zone. Amazing.

Just beautiful! Love that white crape myrtle. Gives me ideas for pruning and shaping he one Usha gave me this spring. Love that comment Susie "weather was warm and tropcial". Does that translate into "Weather was hot, sticky, and humid".. ;)

Pretty bad, Alan. About 90 degrees and 80% humidity. Rain off and on all the time. BUT, they have gorgeous large treed parks with hillsides of azalea, etc. etc. etc. Gets icy in winter.

Oh how beautiful, Susie.
Did you just move this over? I am so glad I got to see it.

Love that porch too, but then I love it all.

Hi My Friend,
I was visiting a very good friend in Tulsa last July '10. My friend's wife MIL is a grower/volunteer at the Linnaeus Gardens and she took me on a tour. The setting is beautiful. Surrounded by woods and lawns or meadows. Tulsa is a pretty amazing place. Something you'd never expect. Beautiful though the weather can be harsh.

I could live there, I think. Humidity is horrid and heat comes with it.
