Are organic sweet potatoes sprayed with chemicals to keep them from sprouting?
I bought these at the grocery store. They are clearly labelled as organic-all the way from California.
I am wondering whether I need to soak them before sprouting slips on them?

I live in California and used an old organic sweet potato that had gotten lost in our pantry and started sprouting last year as seed. I planted it and we got at least 20 pounds from it. That one didn't seem to be sprayed...

Thanks! --- that is great news.
I am not sure that I will get tubers as our season is short.
But the vines are a nice decorative plant---and if tubers grow ---that will be a bonus!
I also grow watermelon plants just for the vines.
