I hope to have a better year in 2012. I have crossed some of my own and have already seen some nice progress.

This seedling will be in it's final evaluation year.....

Very interesting and strikingly unique.
Reminds me of a name such as:
"SUN DEVIL" or "TROJAN - for U.S.C."

The last seedling is and unique color it will be considered in 2012. The name Sun Devil has been taken but that leaves ASU or ARIZONA STATE open.

If this next seedling shows well in 2012, it will be named after one of my granddaughters.

Sun Heathen may be a good name.
I love the ruffles. The color is magnificent. Especially the way the lavender blends into the cream edges...Beautiful..
It seems I love them all, Doesn't it???

Dry Heat is good. Could be slightly misread or controversial for something that is suppose to procreate, however. *Blush*

The weather is holding nicely and the daylilies are responding in a big way...

Some of the daylilies in the hybridizing area are sending up scapes, if the weather hold i could be 2-3 weeks ahead of last year, this will mean my open garden will be almost in peak bloom......

Looks like a really healthy field, Lyle! Mine are doing well too. Seem to be taller leaves than last year. Maybe because they are more established? What about fertilizing, Osmocote... Soon? I put some out about 2 months ago or so.
