I took this photo August 2013 at Balboa Park in San Diego but I'm having trouble identifying it. It sorta reminds me of Cows Horn Agave - A. bovicornuta, or possibly A. bovicornuta 'Reggae Time' but I'm not good at all trying to compare photos. Blinking

I can't help with an ID Lin but you sure took some great photographs of wonderful specimens.

The tight leaves make me think of Agave parryi.

It might be Agave potatorum 'Kichiokan'.
I garden for the pollinators.

I'm really bad at trying to compare photo's but after looking at images of both, I'm leaning more towards A. potatorum 'Kichiokan'.

Parry's Agave (Agave parryi)
Happy Crown Agave (Agave 'Kichijokan')

Agave potatorum is indeed a close match.

Tee and Dave, thank you both. Thumbs up I'm glad to have confirmation from others with better eyes!

@eclayne: Evan, thank you for that lovely comment. *Blush* I enjoy taking photo's of plants and birds but I don't know a thing about the technical aspects of cameras and I'm too set in my ways (or maybe it's too old) to want to learn. Green Grin! I'm happy when I get a few good photo's out of the thousands I take.

And you're welcome. Balboa Park is one of my old stompin' grounds.

Aha, I forgot you told me that Tee! I loved that place and will definitely go back for a visit the next time we are in San Diego, which will be either this December or early January 2015! I could spend a few days walking around Balboa Park, an amazing place!
