The greenhouse walls have been down, The roof came down today. There is more rain coming our way so it's time to protect the adenium. Last year I had the grand idea of putting up a clear golf umbrella on the patio table dedicated to adenium so they can get light and protection heavy rains at the same time. It's time to order it!

Where do you find a clear umbrella. I would think that would cause the plants to burn.

Doris, clear doesn't let in ALL the sun, but maybe burn would be a concern anyway.

The umbrella would not be total rain protection. It would be up high, using fat PVC pipe sleeve, like a patio umbrella so some side ways rain drops will get to them. It will, however keep the major down pours off of them. Anything heavier and I would protect both the adenium AND the umbrella from the storm. You can pay $$$ at Golf stores but I saw them on Ebay for around $30 or less. Just make sure the handle is straight and not a hook-type if you plan to use the PVC pipe sleeve to raise it or you will have to cut off the handle. I looked for 48" + since that is about the diameter of my table. I will watch closely for burning.
