Hi Pwinget, thanks for the compliment.

Yes, I do post in other forums. I'm one of those gardeners that has never seen a plant she didn't like😁. In addition to peonies, I also love spring blooming bulbs, camellias, clematis, lilies, irises, daylilies, roses, and tropical plants such as cacti and succulents, plumerias and brugmansias. So I randomly post in those forums as well.

I'm so glad we have a fence around the backyard where most of my clematis are grown. I do have Barbara Jackman in a large cement pot in the driveway that the deer have not touched. Last night, I pulled up Red Star from my back bed, and planted it around the mailbox, and hopefully the deer will leave it alone.

No blooms yet but this one is enormously further along than any other peony in my garden yet. I think it's Lovely Rose but the tag is missing; I'll have to wait until it blooms to know for sure. Thought I'd take pictures of lots of peonies this weekend but think I'll hold off for any others, none are anywhere near as advanced as this one and we're supposed to get snow again tomorrow through Monday. Don't think it'll do much damage to anything other than my tulips but I'm not tempting fate....

Wow Liz, you keep calling it by the singular, but it looks like 3 put together!

I divided it last spring and thought I only left one piece in the original spot, put several others in different places. I obviously broke off some major pieces and left them in place because it does look to be 3 plants, only had 1 there to start with. It didn't bloom last year because of when I divided, seems to be doing well this spring, though!

Annette, I printed off the info on the database about Arabella as a reminder to look for it in the local nurseries. If I cannot find it there I will go online and order it.

Great Mary. It's a wonderful plant. My plants came from Brushwood nursery, Dan ships wonderful plants, and I've never had one not do well.

Liz, I can't wait to see your peonies bloom. It's going to be lush, and full of color with so many plants close together.

I will check Brushwood. Thank You! Thank You!

I checked and they only ship to lower 48. Don't think that transshipping through Portland would be a good idea in the case of live plants. But I WILL find them!

Here are a few blooms that I cut this evening, before we get our severe weather. I figure I'll enjoy them more in the house. It's better that seeing them destroyed by the storms headed our way. I'll post the individual vases later.

oh Annette, they are beautiful! Are there irises in the back? I think the yellow ones are, but also the purple/white ones? Now I'm thinking about getting irises that would go well with cut peonies.

Gorgeous all. Every so often I indulge myself and cut several dahlias and bring them indoors. I need to pay more attention to the instructions on how to do it to maximize their vase time.

If I had your garden, I would love this time of the year too. Green Grin!

I am away from home, so I will miss seeing the rest of my peonies bloom. Seeing all the blooms here will take their place.

Gosh darn they are lovely. You are inspiring me to get in more peonies. Might even beat out dahlias. Certainly more expensive but much less labor intensive.
