I'm so drawn to them, too! Would love to see a photo in the forum and in the database (can tag as a multi-plant photo if more than one cultivar is used) if you get the chance to try it! I'm going to try it for the first time this summer, myself. Glen really opened up a new avenue to explore with daylilies by doing this!

Glen..Thanks so much for this display of cut day lilies. I have copied and pasted your article, and will definitely give it a try this summer. I have often thought about this, but never acted on cutting my day lilies for fear that would die within 24 hrs. So, this is very useful info.

Nuh uh, it was just my begging a favor, and your kindness in exploring something that you alone could do to enliven all of our lives by seeing if indoor arrangements would merit cutting some scapes. I'm already designating which of my own cultivars won't be used for crosses this summer so I can cut and enjoy them indoors! Yay!
