Also sold as Sedum 'Silver Stone'. It seems the species forsterianum has a tendancy toward producing fasciated sprigs of growth.
This is showing up in my 'Silver Stone', so I have started isolating the growth that shows this unusual growth habit. This is a wonderful sedum in it's normal form, great seasonal color changes, but this fasciated form is so interesting. I do have to keep any new normal type growth pruned out, otherwise it will take over the fasciated growth. Looking at these photos I can see it is time to get the scissors out.
Here it is in normal growth with early spring color. In the summer it is solid spruce type green.
