The photo shown here is Primula auricula...(which I see the Catalogue of Life now wants to lump into Primula marginata...)

Primula auriculata is a different species, and many photos can be seen below at the Primula World site:

(NB. The photos for this species at the site match the description in John Richards' Primula, which I can summarize here if you'd like more information.)

While the COL does cite one botanist who wants to classify P. auricula as a synonym for P. marginata, it also cites one that wants to call it a synonym for P. farinosa subsp. farinosa. In spite of these two possibilities, P. auricula and five of its subspecies are still listed in the COL as accepted names. In cases of this type, we always assume the name is still accepted.
