Dirt, beautiful.

Wow! Impressive, Dirt!

I saw bees last two weeks ago, but there is nothing blooming yet for them.

We have a few hives in the neighborhood and I have only a million or so pictures of bee blur to sort through just to find a few good ones
Plentiful feeding in these parts with all the fruit trees coming on now...

Dave is contributing to the exhibition too, but he doesn't know it yet...

My first bee this year, alas, not overly photogenic.

That is a big bee, what sort is he?

I just call it a Bumble Bee, I don't know the scientific designation.

That sure is a neat Ornithogalum there. I grew some in the basement one winter/spring. Nice bee too.

He might be a Carpenter Bee. We have them and they actually come to the door and look at me or follow me around when I'm outside. One just did that yesterday. Very friendly. Only the females sting and then only when they are threatened. The males just dive bomb what they perceive as threats. I suppose that usually does the trick.

Tee, do they follow you if you are wearing bright colours as hummers can do?

They seem to follow me no matter what. They are so curious.

Bees on the feeders..they got good timing to avoid the hummies.
