Here are some roadside wildflowers I saw in Hardin County, Texas yesterday.

Highway 69, just past Kountz. If you are looking for the fields of Bluebonnets and Paintbush you won't find it in this part of the state. All but the last three pictures above were take in the ditch between the divided section of the highway. The last three with the Bluebonnets were on the right-hand side of the road in the southbound lane, coming home. I didn't even notice them until I got out of the car. I saw a hazy pinkish color and got out to investigate and there was a mixture of Bluebonnet, Paintbrush, Phox and Coreopsis, but it was a very small area.

So have these been sown there or are they native flowers?

They are all native, but because of the concentration in these areas, I am incline to think they have been sown.

That's me. After all the years that Horntoad was up, I thought it was time for a change. Those are pitcher plants, Sarracenia alata.
Here is the uncropped photo.

Those pitcher plants look amazing.
The problem is that when you are young your life it is ruined by your parents. When you are older it is ruined by your children.
