Mary Ann......I have about 90 medians....mostly SDB's and IB's. A few MDBs and MTBs. I ordered my first medians from Paul Black in the 70's when he was still in Oklahoma. We have a UIS median show each year which I like to exhibit in.

Wow! 90!! You must be the Median King, Paul!! And you've been collecting them for forty years -- that's a long time. To think that I'm just dipping my toe into that pond for the first time this year -- I'll never have long enough to catch up to you!! Hilarious!

I think perhaps leaves are limp because it doesn't like the pot.

Thank you Lucy for considering what may be wrong with my poor iris. However, it went limp while it was in the iris bed and I took it up and put it in the pot to isolate it from other irises. It has not gotten any better or any worse but it has not been in the pot very long. It is only the new leaves this spring that are limp. I can put it back into the ground behind the garden shed to see if that will help. That is a nursery area for plants but no irises are there. So far the only indication that something is wrong are the limp leaves.

Bonnie: I too have gotten Coal Seams as a bonus, but so far mine has really strong growth, while Slew of Gold may need some nurturing. I find though, that many of the bonus iris have been hit or miss for me. Grateful Red rocked it from day one, but Sunrise Elegy is always on life support. I may be wrong in this opinion, but I feel like the bonus iris are still in that make it or break it stage, since not all of them go on to be sold on Schreiners site.

Thank you for your input Leslie! I hope that is all it is. I also received Sunrise Elegy and so far it put up strong growth early then just stopped. It is just sitting there trying to decide if it likes Arkansas. Do you think it could be my accent when I talk to it?

One of the Decorums has 4 falls. I've had them on several cultivars this year. Here is a six falled Zooboomafu

Rolling on the floor laughing Bonnie! If it's an accent issue then I may be in for trouble too!!

Paul: Love all your Dwarfs! This is my first year trying them. Have had Smart, Cat's Eye and Blueberry Tart bloom so far. B. Tart is only five inches high. I thought it was suppose to be larger? Cute little guy though.

Tom: My avatar is Grateful Red. A very photogenic TB. Got it as a bonus, and looks to be a good bloomer again this year! I have it next to Michigan Pride and they really stand out in the garden.
